The ATI Radeon™ HD 4800 Series GPUs bring the power of graphics ‘supercomputing’ to gamers, setting a new standard for visual computing.
Redefine the way you play and take HD gaming to the extreme with best-in-class performance. With one teraFLOPS on tap, the TeraScale graphics engine delivers an immersive, cinematic gaming experience. Add this graphics card to your PC and watch Blu-ray movies and play HD content with incredible visual fidelity or take your experience to another level with new multimedia capabilities. Do it all with break-through efficiency that doesn’t compromise performance.
To be eligible to win you must:
- answer the poll question for this thread, AND
- post a response telling AMD and the JACT community what you would do with your old graphics card if you won. Be creative, funny, stupid, witty, innovative, green, upside-down or anything you can possibly think of. It’s your forum and your contest!
Limit one entry per person. You must be logged on to vote. Entries will be accepted until 5pm EST 10/31/08.
The best entry will be chosen by a panel on Friday Oct 31st, which means one lucky gamer will get more than just some month-old Tootsie Rolls this Halloween!
A big shout out to AMD for the prize! Click here to find out more about how AMD can make your gaming experience sweeter.

[EDIT - Oct 8th]
I would first chop up my old video card with The Laser of UBERWTFOMGBBQ(aka: The Laser of UBERWTFOMGBBQ) while my friends, Mr. Littlehat(aka: Bob), who everyone says is "imaginary" , and Mr. Samurai (aka: the shadow above my bed that takes the shape of a samurai), and I watch it[old video card] be ...chopped up? I would be all "hahahahahahaha that **** was AWESOME!" and Mr. Littlehat and Mr. Samurai would be all "..." because they don't speak.
But wait, it's not over yet! Oh no.... I would then proceed to bash the pieces with NONE OTHER than...wait for it wait for it... a sledgehammer!! THEN, I would collect all the pieces and send them to the moon with my friend Mr. Monk Monk(aka: one of my action figures (NOT DOLLS!!! ) from when I was a wee lad). The pieces would then be eaten by the aliems because everyone knows that aliems eat video cards! ha! ha! ha! ha! OK, I'm bored.... _________________

I would probably hold a contest in my GamerzGuild and the winner of the contest gets my old graphics card.
Or i would use it as a part of my halloween costume. (just hanging around with friends) |

I'd say a fond farewell to my trusty x1900GT, and box it up safely on my shelf, never to forget the first video card I ever bought. _________________

First i would like to say, old Halloween candy is sometimes good. There is like a suprise in every bite. I would also like to thank jact for creating a space for gamers of all kinds to communicate and also to AMD for providing years of great material for us gamers. As for my old graphics card(ATI), i would most likely use it for trouble shooting. But, the current trouble shooting card (nVidia) would then be shot with arrows. |

I would give it to my friend to upgrade his PC, he gets my old ATI Radeon x1550 (If I win!) to replace his ATI Radeon x550, then I would steal his ATI Radeon x550 and use it to upgrade my brother's computer that he found at the dump, and I would play CSS with both of them
THEN I would get a team of internet ninjas, "white geeks," to hack into JACT servers, and make my CSS server record, 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,751 Kills and 9,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,751 Deaths! Then I'd be all like, "You WISH you had mah sc0r3 beetch!" Then I would cry about fall damage and uninstall. Next I would go to my neighbor's house and beat the poopee out of him for no reason and OMG I did not realize I said that, just ignore the laste part!

I'd take my old graphics card and add it to my collection of old graphics cards to be used in a suit of armor as well as weapons that I'm making using nothing but graphics cards and zip ties. The armor will basically be used in real but non-lethal medieval style fights similar to the ones seen in the Jim Carrey movie, "The Cable Guy".
The problem with this is finding someone else to convince to do the same thing with their old video cards. If it proves to become too much of an issue, I'll probably disassemble the armor and try to make a new line of vehicles that can compete in the same market as Kia.
If this business fails I'll probably just end up using the old material to build some type of new-age house, even though I know basically nothing about construction, buildings, or architecture.
After all that is done I'll buy a second copy of the new card and run them in crossfire.
Also, thank you to Jact and AMD for providing us this contest!

| I would probably box up my old video card and give it to a friend of mine that is constantly complaining that he doesn't have a good video card. |
